Unorthodox Nutrition AD FOR UFC FIGHT PASS

A few months prior to Polaris Professional 23, one of the world’s biggest Brazilian Jiu Jitsu and Submission Grappling shows, Mike Leng of Unorthodox Nutrition contacted us enquiring about our video production services. Mike wanted to produce an advert that would be broadcast on UFC Fight Pass to their millions of subscribers to the On Demand service as well as the thousands of those watching live at home. Unorthodox Nutrition sponsored both Polaris 23 and Polaris 24, with live broadcast opportunities and the advert to be replayed during intermissions and prior to the sold out shows at Doncaster Dome and Fairfield Halls in Croydon, London.

With the millions of viewers on UFC’s streaming platform and tens of thousands of Mike’s potential clients either watching the event live on the streaming platform or at the venue itself, it was imperative that Mike’s message was delivered in an impactful way that maximised his sizeable investment into sponsoring Europe’s Premiere Professional Jiu Jitsu show.

Unorthodox Nutrition and ourselves were already in talks to create a comprehensive video strategy for his brand, but the extremely time-sensitive nature of sponsoring professional sporting events meant that we had to maximise our returns on such a small amount of time that would be allocated to Unorthodox during the live broadcast. So, we suggested combining both the advert and testimonial video products that we were already planning on creating. This would mean that we could emphasise Mike’s rock-solid credibility amongst the combat sports community whilst appealing to an audience that would likely yield a large number of warm leads for his coaching business. Hitting them with a concise description of his services, who they are for and what can be achieved, wrapped up in beautiful b-roll and a timeless soundtrack in order to entice them into taking immediate action to improve both their health and sports performance by hiring Unorthodox Nutrition as a coach.
